Higher. Why was Aiming Higher started? Aiming Higher was started in a desire to help people jump-start their own personal change process. While it is certainly possible to make changes on your own, coaching helps speed up the process. In this day and age, speed is of the essence. Most people do not have the time or resources to research situations as fully as they could. Aiming Higher provides proven resources and programs that are customized to each individual, and company. As a result, coaching can usually help you get what you want—and do it FASTER. What is coaching? First, let’s start with what coaching is NOT. Coaches do not provide: psychological counseling, legal advice, or investment advice. You should rely on other professionals if you are in need of any of these services. Instead, coaches provide support, challenge you, motivate you to help you reach your goals, guide you as you change to meet your goals, collaborate and synergize with you on your goals, help evolve you, and strategize with you to reach your goals. Coaches provide support, understanding, listening, and wisdom. Much of your coaching experience will be very introspective, and require work on your part. Coaches only work with people who are open to change, to ensure your greatest chance of success. Often, your coach will challenge you to look at life in a new way. Your coach has only one goal in mind – your success!! How does coaching work? Research has shown that at least 85% of what we do every moment of the day is by habit. Often, these habits are so ingrained in our being that we don't even realize we are making a choice, or taking an action--they are done unconsciously. Coaching helps you by first identifying what you want to accomplish--no goal is too big! This is why we named our company "Aiming Higher" -- we believe everyone can achieve more than they have ever imagined. Once your goal is identified, then we'll help you identify what may be in the way. After all, there is some reason you haven't accomplished what you desire. This almost always means changing habits. Habits include not only what we do, but also what we think. Your coach will ask you to take action every session, towards changing your habits and accomplishing your goals. Your coach may challenge you to dig deeper into why a particular habit or thought is difficult to change. Your coach will follow-up with you each session, to see how you are doing towards making progress on your actions. This accountability is an important part of why coaching WORKS! Not only is coaching action oriented (we will never just talk about your goals -- you will always take some action towards them), but your coach will also hold you accountable for doing what you said you would do. After all, it's human nature that when we know someone else will ask us about doing what we said we would do, we do our best to do it! Sometimes, things will get in the way of taking action. When they do, your coach will help you explore what is in the way--and eliminate that roadblock once-and-for-all. If you are committed to your goal, and you do the work, you WILL ACHIEVE RESULTS! kinds of things does a coach help with? The reasons are as varied as the people who are coached.
Generally, most people who choose coaching are working
towards a specific goal, and it is taking longer than they
want to achieve the goal. Sometimes, a client is restless
and knows it is time for a change, but is not clear about
what the change should be. Many of the Aiming Higher clients
simply desire greater balance and meaning in their life.
Clients may feel ‘disconnected’ from life. Some
typically stated reasons for hiring coaches are:
How will I meet with my coach? Typically your coaching session will take place via the telephone. E-mail and in-person coaching is also available on a limited basis. Your phone session will typically last for just a half-hour, every week, depending on the option you choose and your individual needs. This schedule respects your time, yet keeps you in close touch with your coach to ensure you reach your goals as quickly as possible. Should you desire, e-mail and telephone support is also available between your coaching session. All sessions will be pre-scheduled, to respect your time. Targeted laser coaching is also available, enabling you to call your coach as-needed for a quick question or feedback. What can I expect on my first session? To start with, your first session is always complimentary. This helps ensure you and your coach will make a good team. Not all coaches are the best fit for all individuals, and not all individuals are ready for the change required by coaching. Your coach will seek to understand the kind of changes you desire, and begin helping you define what you want to gain from coaching. After you and your coach decide you are a good mutual fit, your coach will provide you with a proposal so you can select the program that is just right for you. We will ask you to make a three-month commitment. Experience has shown this is the minimum amount of time needed with a coach to ensure you successfully change your habits so you meet your goals. Once you have selected your coach, pre-assessments and other work are requested to help speed up your progress, and tailor the coaching to your exact needs. Don't worry if this sounds like a lot of work -- your coach is an expert at helping you free up time so you can accomplish your goals. How much does coaching cost? This depends on the type of coaching you desire. Aiming Higher offers several different options, which are tailored to your individual needs. Fees range from $225 to over $3,000 per month, per-person. The cost depends upon the type of coaching you desire, the programs you sign up for, whether you select individual or group coaching, and whether we travel to meet you in your location.
